After Ayuko left, the whole dorm went to go grocery shopping at the supermarket. In Japan, you are expected to bring your own bag to carry your groceries in (a mistake I'm likely to repeat). I bought potatoes, bread, 2 noodle packets I can take as lunch, and olive oil for cooking. The Japanese students bought stuff to make dinner with for the welcome party.
We all made gyoza and fried rice together:
Finally everything was prepared and we sat down to eat, it felt like a family dinner~
After dinner, we had our first official meeting as a dorm. They explained all the many rules we have to follow, like not allowing any one into our room, blah blah blah.
