The place is called Sweets Paradise, basically a buffet for desserts. There are my friends paying to get in by machine.
They had many different varieties of noodles as the dinner portion, most of them being different types of pasta. This is the second time I'm having pasta here in Japan, and I have got to say, the Japanese version of Italian pasta is amazing. I also had udon with traditional sauce, and it was freaking delicious; I think I'm getting a hang of this loud slurping without making a mess thing. =D
And this is the row of desserts, there's like 20 of them!
Here's a closer look at some of them:
My first round-3 types of pasta. By the way, the sandwiches were some of the best I ever had; they were like something you would have at tea time in England.
My friend ate dessert and pasta together, a total of around 4 plates!
That's her :)
This is my plate of desserts. I finished most of it, and then gave the rest to my other friend, I was so full.
I asked the Japanese guy next to me to take this:
The chocolate fondue fountain:
The receipt. This is like half of what I paid at that nomihodai.... >_>
These were outside the restaurant; I personally think they're both bad looking but........=P
Apparently the line to get in can get pretty long, there's even a stand for fans for people sweating in line haha
After dinner we walked around outside, but most of the stores closed by 9pm. I saw this display from outside and went to check it out. This gown was actually one of the ones worn by Julia Roberts in the film Mirror Mirror. It was designed by a Japanese woman who died right after making it.
I wanted to check out this second-hand store but it was already closed. Even for a second-hand store though it was pretty expensive because they are all brand name clothes.
These guys were just playing out in public by a fountain. They weren't too bad.
I went home at around 10pm. It was my first time walking home alone from the station, and I didn't get lost! But I had to be careful of walking underneath trees, because spiders like to dangle from them. Did I ever mention how damn big the spiders are here?! I actually never posted about this but I got bitten last week from something and my ankle was swollen for 2 days, and the pain was such that it felt like I sprained my ankle. At first I thought it was just another mosquito bite that I scratched too much, plus I had walked around a lot that day so I thought it was swollen from that. But it's been more than a week since I was bitten and it's only just now healing. The thought of being bitten by a huge ass spider.........
The mosquitos here are freaking vicious. I'm used to mosquitos because they're everywhere in India, but my bites are never that big because they're not that itchy. I don't know what's up with Japanese mosquitos, but almost all my bites are like at least a centimeter in diameter.....By the way the medicine people here apply to soothe their bites smells EXACTLY like Vicks for some reason.....
Anyways I gotta get up bright and early tomorrow even though it's a Saturday; I'm planning on going to a place called Osu. Find out what happens to Megana, next time on "Konnichiwa Japan" !!!!
